Surveillance, gaming and marketing offer enormous synergy potential for casinos but in order to tap this potential, the integration of video, data and interfaces is key. During G2E Asia 2019, German casino pioneer Dallmeier presented SeMSy, a “casino operating system”, which is the result of over 20 years of experience in the casino industry that includes some of the world-wide largest surveillance and gaming management installations.
An essential aspect of the new SeMSy casino operating system is the integration, presentation and processing of many different data sources and interfaces. From video to regulations reporting to marketing data and many more. The user selects from a wide range of applications that help casinos maximise efficiency for a multitude of workflows.
For example, casino surveillance users can control their complete CCTV and quickly create a “digital evidence file” that includes corresponding video, notes, reports and further information. Internal and external compliance requirements are easily fulfilled with advanced, unified reporting capabilities that make the creation of reports a breeze.
The main advantage of the new system is that all functions and data are fully integrated into the SeMSy video and data management world, thus saving time and cost through fewer workstations and considerably less complex work processes. However, data, images and analytics are only made available to the relevant users in a precisely adapted way. All in all, important findings from previously unused data sources are utilised and synergies can be achieved.
Gaming management will find a wealth of solutions within Dallmeier’s Casino Automation Technology (CAT) suite to manage and track table games. The suite runs as an application in SeMSy. It uses elements of AI and standard Full HD IP cameras to recognise chips and
cards, capture real-time information about bet position and bet value, game pace, float value etc. SeMSy allows to react proactively and in real time to any events as as well as gather valuable data from many aspects of gaming operations. The benefits are a highly increased game pace, a much more effective protection from fraud, accurate player rating and a much better understanding of overall table game operations.
Casino operators can gain access to a previously hidden treasure trove of data through SeMSy’s integration of video technology- based functions - e.g. people counting, facial recognition etc; AI-based gaming automation technologies; and other analysis techniques.
